What else to call a hysterical waterfowl making a mountain out of what is, by the admission of even the proponents ("'We generally agree that this is not hugely consequential,' board chairman Paul Reville said. 'It's a symbolic action.'"), a molehill?
Or a waterfowl bemoaning persecution for opposing the idea when at least half the article on which this panel is based is dismissive.

I hate the way people in Mallard speak ...
I love how Mallard cuts to the core of the situation. It's natural for schools to fail, public education is a waste of time and a joke and that should never change because the ignorant believe without thinking, so obviously the REAL point of the debate is the imagined labels liberals give him.
Sunday's strip is up, and apparently Hell has frozen over--because the strip actually involves a modicum of genuine wit, and Mallard doesn't get to beat the horse--Tinny lets the image make the point!
Whether or not you agree with said point, holy crap, how often does Tinny do THAT?
...I wonder who wrote today's strip for him?
Tinny defending the term "under-performing"???
I mean, really. It's bureaucratic-speak. It doesn't say whether the school is good or bad, merely that it's not "performing" up to ...what?
I would bet cash money that when the term "under-performing" came out, Tinny used the same script to defend what-ever term it replaced.
