Mallard's Christmas Message

Mallard wishes us a blessed Christmas.

But I refuse to believe Mallard would be caught doing anything so Liberal as reading a book.

Awwww. If Tinsley wasn't a complete snarling dick 360 days of the year, the five-or-so strips like these would convince me he actually believes in Jesus. Or gives a crap about active-duty troops.

Happy Holidays!

Oh, look: Brucie spent enough time sober two weeks ago to remember that we still have troops in the Middle East.

Now, can he remember who sent them there in the first place?

That is the most half-assed tribute comic I've ever seen. The only thing that begins to identify it as a US soldier is the goggle clip on the brim. It could just as easily be a homeless guy going dumpster diving.

What's wrong, Tinshley? No gossamer-veiled spite at us libruls for not supporting the troops like true-blue Umurkans like you? Are you getting soft or something? (And I'm not just talking about your liver.)

Support the troops.

Bring them home.

Anything else, is just using their image to promote yourself.

*sniff* This is the most heartfelt tribute to the troops I've seen since the last time I saw a disposable, dollar-store made-in-a-Chinese-prison magnetic ribbon on the back of a Hummer!

Support the troops, let 'em die in unwinnable wars for Halliburton forever!

I went ahead and clicked on "outrage" for the reasons expressed so eloquently above, but mostly because someone who's a complete misanthropic asshole 364 days of the year doesn't get any credit for saying "have a blessed time" all of a sudden.

Hey Tinsh, fuck you and your dumb duck.

Yeah, merry Christmas soldiers stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan for no reason at all WHAT NO YOU CAN'T COME HOME TO YOUR FAMILIES THESE COLORS DON'T RUN

Why does he need a book?

Kaitlyn - it's the Rightwing Sentiment-A-Day Talking Point Manual.

Wow - even when Tinkley's not actually wrong, he still has a shitty drawing, and misses the most poignant point of his own sad cartoon.

And the book is a prop, like the Crawford Ranch. Blallard can never avoid being phony.

Cheers!

Tinsley, you claimed to be against the Iraq war from the beginning, yet were too cowardly to speak out against it. Over 4300 of our troops are now dead because of that decision. I have relatives that were sent away to scenes like the one you're depicting, because of your cowardice. Fuck you for blessing the troops who happen to be Christian in your shitty comic now, and not being a man when it counted.

Blessed by the troops. They should never have been sent away from home in the first place.

What Bruce Tinsley is afraid to address is the issue of why we are sending our soldiers overseas to get buried waist-deep in jagged boulders and sloppy cross-hatching in the first place.

Might be nice to add that they are kept there (and more are being sent there) by filthy Republican and Democratic politicians for no discernible reason.
