What's Mallard raving about today?
President Obama.
This drumbeat against "nationalization" suggests one of two possibilities.
Mallard may believe we should not have bailed out the companies we did. On can certainly argue that point, however, given that he was pretty well silent about this when the Bush Administration gave $700b to banks, it can't possibly be that.
Which means that Mallard must believe we should give the money away with no strings attached and nothing in exchange for the money. Making Mallard the largest idiot on the planet.
Not that this is news, of course.

In the year of their Lord 2000, some yipyop on the Mississippi Gulf Coast (where, for my sins, I was living at the time) wrote in to the local paper complaining about the Clinton administration's plans to "nationalize the FBI".
It's taken nearly a decade and the unique perspective of Bruce Tinsley, but finally, the word "nationalize" has been used in a more eltreent way.
Tog am right. Tin's gonna bitch no matter what Obama does.
Obama gives money with strings: "Nationalization!"
Obama gives money with no strings: "Giveaways!"
Obama doesn't give money: "Do-nothing!"
Obama magically solves all world's problems without spending money: "Birth certificate!"
Since Tinshley brought up the subject of professional sports franchises that are owned by the community instead of private businesses (he called it "nationalization" but since most of them are profitable only because taxpayers subsidize their stadiums, we might call it clawing back taxpayer give-a-aways), let us compare the Green Bay Packers (community-owned) to the Seahawks (private enterprise).
Seahawks.
Packers.
Who's better at what they do?
The point is Obama nationalization (whether it's happening or not is irrelevant) = communism. Obama is a commie muslim fascist. Nothing could be more clear.
Cheers!

What is up with that finger? (Yeah, we've been looking at the atrocity that is the chin for a year now, so I shouldn't be too startled, but still, *shiver*!)
Gosh, but The Tinz sure loves to draw Obama. I think someone here once counted up the appearances that George W. Bush made in MF during his administration and it was less than you could count on one freakishly drawn hand. Obama, however, well you know Tinz loves him some Obama.
So it's bad for the government, with officials voted for by people who require nothing more than citizenship to participate, to own companies who might otherwise bankrupt citizens, but good for companies who only answer to a small group of stockholders based on obscene wealth, to own the government and block things like a public option?
Let me know just as soon as any of your examples run the imminent risk of catastrophic failure that could trash the American economy for a very long time, Tinz. You might devote fifty or sixty hours' "research" to it, but that's the price of being a profeshunul kartunist.
Anybody else remember being called "delusional" or "paranoid" after suggesting that the upcoming invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with al Qaeda, and everything to do with oil? Hey, Bush nationalized an entire country! But Bruce is in touch with REALITY. He's complaining about things that Nazi Commie Muslim Socialist Obama will do in the FUTURE as seen in Bruce's TINY BRAIN.
UpChuck Asay already pretends that Obama bailed out the banks, not Bush. But give Bruce time for some more research, and he'll get out there, too.
WV: nanseall, what Dullard Failmore gets from me, the Nanseal of Approval
We've already nationalized the air. There are both state and federal aviation regulations, federal air transportation excise taxes, and state and federal air pollution laws.
That grotesque finger reminds me of a Stephen King short story, "The Moving Finger", in which an infinitely long, multijointed finger emerges from someone's sink drain and attacks him. For a new years resolution, how about not drawing creepy shit like that, Tinsley?
