That damned Exhaustion

What's Mallard raving about today?

Robert Gibbs.

Today in Mallard Fillmore: Press spokesperson gives evasive answers.

Stop the fucking presses.

On the other hand, is anyone surprised to find that Mallard gets exhausted watching TV.

It's not just the watching that wears the dumb ol' duck out: Why do you think he keeps his crotch well exposed to the open air?

No doubt Batshit thinks Ronald Reagan's finest moment was when he yelled at a reporter to "shut up!" when the questioning got a little too hot for the drooling goober.

And naturally, Ari Fleischer (nickname: The Liar, and the traitorous turd who gleefully revealed Valerie Plame's identity to reporters on behalf of other traitors) got a free pass from Batshit. Gosh, I wonder why?

I can't help but wonder though if part of the perceived evasiveness is just due to the conservative point of view where Gibbs should be saying "yes, we worship Mao every morning, plot ways to bring back the nazis over lunch, and make sweet love to communism all afternoon. And the president is really a Kenyan Muslim."

Is he talking in the first panel, or is he just sucking on his word balloon? It seems easier to believe that balloons have physical reality in his world and that this dumb bird likes to nibble or munch on them than it does to accept that he has thoughts and expresses them in words.

Yes, Mallard. Keep sitting at that TV, getting plumper and more delectable. When your meat hits the saute pan and all that lovely fat renders ... yum.

Robert Gibss may be evasive (as all White House press secretaries are), but I'd be willing to bet a million dollars that he knows about the Cuban Missile Crisis unlike one of George W. Bush's talking heads.

Today's big story is the official end of the Iraq war.

There's plenty of room to comment on that: whether it's really happening, what does it mean, et cetera.

My guess is that Tinshley's scheduled hate-the-Muslims strips were too much for his editors on this of all days, and at any rate irrelevant as the shock value has diminished.

So he went with a timeless attack on a press secretary. As others have noted, it's not a fresh idea but by the nature of the press secretary's job (remember Ron "That answer is not operative today" Zieglar?) it never gets stale.

Dropping back to Batshit's Twitpocrisy for a moment: Behold an individual so devoid of intelligence, talent and truthfulness that she hired a ghost writer for HER FACEBOOK PAGE.

I'm sure there's a term for otherwise-useless women who are kept by their sugar daddy (or "daddies," or perhaps "party") to be mindless eye/ear candy.

Gibbs panders to the Mallard Fillmore types all year, and this is how they repay him? Et Tu, Tinsley?
