Those damned Sweaters

What's Mallard raving about today?

Sweaters

Someone let Bill O'Reilly and Fox know that the real war on Christmas is being waged by Mallard Fillmore, who is doing his level best to suck every ounce of joy out of the season.

Honestly, I don't know how much longer I can take this stream of unremitting gloom.

These strips will be funny later, when we actually hit the holiday, and Batshit goes through the annual motions of feigning his belief and worship of Jesus Christ and pretending he's not a bitter, hate-filled little anus wart.

Tinsley is that guy at the office who must be kept out of the loop if there is any kind of social gathering, because if he shows up he will suck the life out of everyone.

But, Bruce! Garish holiday patterns help hide the stains when you spill your liquor!

I am so going to take sartorial advice from someone whose sole qualification for being in newspapers is that he isn't Garry Trudeau.

What if you pin teabags to your Christmas sweater? Would it be the height of patriotic fashion then?

I'll agree with Mallard this far: if you're not wearing pants, don't wear a Christmas sweater.

If I may be permitted to address an actual issue of pressing concern:

@Anonymous raises a great issue, that should be of concern to "conservatives" and "liberals" alike.
Let me urge you to make a hyperlink out of that, using the "A" tag, thus:

Now - get active!

P.S. wanna bet Mallard Fillmore ignores this? Yes, Tinshley, that's a challenge.

How about cartoon ducks wearing Santa hats more than 3 weeks before the holiday, in order to whine like babies about said holiday? That's a lot more pathetic than a sweater. Go drown your misery in a bottle of egg nog.

WV: remant; the last, lone remnant of Bruce's relevance faded away long ago

Yes, Mr. Sherman; everything stinks.

Mallard Fillmore cartoons should only be viewed by babies...
...who at least have the excuse that they can't read.

I am shocked, SHOCKED that Brews hasn't yet found an excuse to blame crappy Christmas presents on the Prez or on Demmycrats in general. Whoever faxes him his talking points is really falling down on the job.

Mallard is giving people a lecture, not a break, about what they should wear.

How is that a 'Shopping Guide', as this strip is titled?
