That damned China

What's Mallard raving about today?

China, email, computers.

Anyone caring to guess what's really going on, have at it in the comments.

My guess: Mallard started putting his email address into the panel, rather suddenly, on 30 April, 2007. Since then, he has not been flooded by the outpourings of support, admiration, and love which he expected. So he's upping the ante in a desperate cry for attention and validation.

For what it is worth, when we last left Mallard's pseudo-boycott of China, he was vowing to refrain from buying blue-grey rectangles from China.

His old address was mallardmail@yahoo.com.

But aren't Google part of the Liberal conspiracy?

Looks to me like he is trying to rationalize why he didn't follow through on his previous boycott announcement.

Wow, and it only took him two years to change his email address. A duck of action.

Notice how he manages to avoid mentioning Yahoo... to avoid libel based on a story that actually harks back to 2005? Meanwhile, by not naming his old email provider he offers absolutely no information on what he's babbling about.

Not to mention that Google complies to Chinese censorship laws anyway on Google China. But looking past Yahoo and GMail might mean having to learn how to use an email application.

At least he isn't still calling it "g-mail."
But, all in all, this has to be the saddest strip I've ever seen.

Does his boycott have anything to do with his hero Bush caving into China over the spy plane taken down by the Chinese back in 2001?

So can we expect more Edwards' hair smears tomorrow or will it be Angry Sun?

(Angry Sun please please please)

Crap, gmail's "Wack'd-Out Conservative Filter" goes on the fritz for ONE DAY, and look what happens. Typical!

Anywho, we all know that the syndicates demand these strips weeks in advance, but anyone want'a wager on whether they'll allow Tinsley to shoehorn in a very special tribute to Jerry Falwell sometime soon?

My guess is we'll see it on SUNDAY. Tinsley's real clever like that!
