Those damned girls

What's Mallard raving about today?

Girls.

I know what you mean Mallard.

After 43 straight female Presidents, it's shameless to treat a woman running for President as something special.

What we need is a stage full of rich white guys for a change of pace.

The usual rightwing wackos keep accusing Hillary Clinton of complaining that she's being treated unfairly because she's a woman. But I've yet to find a quote where she says anything along those lines. Does such a quote actually exist?

Truce Binsley: haven't you been watching FOX News? "Some say" that Hillary is playing the female card!

Very, uh, creative way of drawing those speech bubbles, Tinsley.

I don't think that's what Hillary wants. She hasn't said it. Unfortunately, that's what some men hear if a woman says "I want my conclusions and stands on issues to be treated as if they were reached by logic and intelligence as opposed to PMS and an inability to control emotions" or any equivilant.

Here's a genuine, direct quote from Hillary Rodham Clinton:

"I understand very well that people are not attacking me because I'm a woman...they're attacking me because I'm ahead."

Of course, cowardly sniveling little shriveldick Bruce Tinsley can't work with that...so he has to make things up out of thin air and liquor fumes, and put them in the mouth of a straw man (just as we saw with Penis-Chin Chet throughout the dog-adoption strips).

Another gutless move from that most gutless fool.

The fiction of Al Gore's "outrageous claims"; the entire pack of "swiftboat" lies; now the "Hillary's whining about being treated like a girl" stories.

Repeated daily in on radio/TV by the usual suspects and then parroted as facts-know-to-everyone by the local neocon apologists...

Am I seeing a pattern here?

oywizHey Tin Man, just because you want something to be true doesn't mean it actually is. I know hobo bourbon makes you believe in Will To Pow-ar! and all that, but cheezit.

This reeks of the people that think feminists are all a bunch of crazy, man-hating bulldykes (that's just Kathleen Hanna) instead of individuals of either gender who think that people should maybe be paid the same for the same job or that they should have the right to decide what they want to do with their own bodies.

At least it wasn't Rush (oh my god I know the kid's name someone stab me in the heart) saying "Hillary campaigns like a girl!" or more references to "The Laugh." Hey Tinsley, if she's such an awful candidate, why not attack her on substantive issues instead of all the snarky, petty digs at inconsequential things?

Oh, and for the sake of Tinzanonymous - zomg all teh peepal in da strips is white!!1 whar r teh blax? lol! (Feel better?)

Stantis did this nonsense last week in Prickly City, which is continuing its steep slide into election-season shrillness. Now Tinshley. Can we consider it a conservobot meme now?

In Mallard's world, equal income for women is seen as demanding special rights.

I know this is off-topic, but I figured you guys might like this. One of my hobbies is writing crank letters to political cartoonists and small-town boards of tourism. One of my favorite people to write is Chuck Asay, who is basically a sober Tinshley - http://www.cagle.com/politicalcartoons/pccartoons/archives/asay.asp?Action=GetImage

Anyway, I thought I'd share the letter I wrote him this afternoon.

"Dear Honorable Asay The Great III,

Are you drinking (and driving?) buddies with Broosh Tinshley, the besotted crank behind Mallard Filmore? It seems like you guys would get along wonderfully since you're both whiny old codgers who can't draw very well. Oh the fun you could have drinking hobo bourbon, creating straw arguments about "libruhls," flirting with racism (tar babies! HAHAHAHAHAHA oh my god your comedy is building a bridge to the 19th century!), and demonizing educators.

I guess my question is this - is it wrong that I cannot stop masturbating while thinking about you and Dick Cheney giving each other leg rubs, or should I be proud of who I am?

In closing, please keep creating comics. People like you, Sean Hannity, and Jack Chick keep reminding me why I vote Democratic in the first place.

Yours in Christ,

Matt -------

Ah, you make Tinsley bearable. Pity, the LA times saw fit to remove him from their comic rolls.

I do hope you take a brief moment to peruse Taking Stock and Left Toon Lane

Holy Crap, Matt Ramone--that that your real name? 'Cause my friend Peter and I in college had a running contest to see who could get the most crackpot letters to the editors published. You more or less have captured his tone.
