Those damned scandals

What's Mallard raving about today?

NFL, NBA, Scandals.

Man 1: NFL!

Man 2: NBA!

Tiny Voice From Off-Panel: GOP!

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner in the scandal department!

Would I be too much of a moonbat if I pointed out that the two sports Mallard singles out are the two sports most dominated by, you know... "those people". Nah, must just be a coincidence.

Damn, Devin! I was about to say that Mallard was a racist.

So he'll leave me and my baseball alone for now?

Let me tell you about a scandal in football - my college's team sucked the suck out of suck this year. My high school won every single game - their first time to go to the post-season in about FOREVER.

Scandal? My mom went to many home games on Friday night. The next day, the uni lost. Coincidence? No.

But yeah, Mallard's a racist.

I've often thought that the only reason Mallard ever made it into any newspapers, much less syndication, was because B.T. browbeat editors into proving their lack of liberal bias by running a conservative themed strip. Which, in my mind, begs the question of how Mallard is able to get away with these strips that aren't even remotely political.

Good catch on the racism angle. White dominated sports like golf and hockey have far more scandals, but the fascist press doesn't pick up on them. Always keeping the brother down.

udHow many of you think anonymous in Tinsley drunkenly surfing the intard-web?

And god knows there are no scandals or violence in "white" sports like cycling, hockey, (pains me to say this) wrestling, or baseball.

Nah, if Anonymous were the Tinz, he'd just post slight variations on the same comment every damn day for the whole week. Besides, I doubt old Brucie can afford an Internet connection and booze, anyway.

That said, we should ask Anonymous to include an ellipsis in his post, just to be sure.

dlauthor, please accept, with my compliments, this Internet you have just won.

I predict that MLB will take the scandal lead next season. Excluding the GOP, of course - that would be unfair.

If Bruce Tinsley's silhouette creeped you out a couple of days ago, DaveyK, you'll love his full-blown "future-self" caricature in Tuesday's strip.

(And just as I predicted on that silhouette-related thread, Tin-Can Tinny's already bawling up a storm about taxes. As is his norm, he's doing it in the most ridiculous, nonsensical way possible.)

Anonymous said...

Wait, that was supposed to be him? I thought it was just a random tramp making a nonsensical point about Taxes Are Teh Bads.

(atcht - the sound of literally coughing up a lung)

That ain't FUTURE Bruce. No need to Flash forward Brucie boy.

Why oh why did I look at today's comic?

I hate you all.

I thought it was Michael Moore at first, but that does look amazingly like Bruce's mugshot - even the cowlick is in the same place! If only his dialogue said, "figuring out how many cartoons I can sell..." that would complete it.

Only his butt seems to be worried about the alternative minimum tax - the rest of him just wants to sell cans. I guess it's true what they say about "watching out for your own ass".
