That damned King

What's Mallard raving about today?

The Economy, Burger King

Mallard Fillmore finds unemployment funny. Not that he's heartless. It's just that unemployed people are funny.

What's funny is that Batshit thinks making a reference to the Burger King mascot means he's "hip" and "relevant," and oh, I dunno, "with it" and "a cool cat, jive turkey."

Where were you when they quit making Erin Esurance commericals, Batshit?

I'm impressed. He connected two dots today. Baby steps.

If you pretend the caricature of Obama was drawn by somebody who's ever seen an actual picture of the only president we've got, the strip is actually funny.

Wouldn't it be funny if this "comic" came out a day or two after a major proposal by Obama to create more jobs?

rewinn said...

Meanwhile, in reality, a state employee was fired for giving accurate information to coworkers about how voters we eligible for free voter IDs.

Firing workers for doing their jobs to legally and efficiently help American voters vote: will Mallard Fillmore be outraged?

Tinsley: Sociopath said...

Tinsley cares more about fictional characters that nobody likes than humans, to whose suffering he masturbates while saying that masturbation is evil. What a surprise.

Word Verification: Cledn, a retarded hillbilly genocidal dictator Neo Nazi who is a million-fold a better person than Tinsley.

Tinshley's relieved because he kept confusing the King with Captain Morgan, which led to screaming matches about rum at the drive-thru.

Rewinn - please remove your head from the orifice from which it resides and listen to me.

If a 'stimulus' bill almost double what the President has now proposed to 'create jobs' did nothing, how will this one save our economy?

The only way for the economy to turn around and add jobs is when Obama loses his.

Why should I respond to an Anonymous Coward?

Anyone so lacking in balls that he's afraid to identify himself is also too dickless to matter.

You know what would be funny? If Anonymous Coward were really the Bruce Tinsley and he was such so afraid of an adult conversation that he surrendered the opportunity to increase his readership by refusing to establish an internet identify and talk with his critics.

PRO TIP: if you talk with your critics, you are doing something interesting, and that brings eyeballs to your website, and therefore advertisers. Of course, you have to be able to take it as well as dish it out, and if we have learned one thing about today's "conservatives" since 9/11, it's that they are cowards, every one - willing to send better men to die to make money off contradicting and posturing.

Go ahead - prove me wrong. I'm not afraid. That's what makes me open-minded; that's what makes me a liberal.

Anonymous: You don't CUT your way out of a recession, you SPEND your way out. Economics 101. The stimulus bill (notice, no scare quotes around the word stimulus) prevented us from going into a full-blown depression, at the cost of a short-term debt increase; what was really needed was really a New-Deal-sized stimulus, but at least Obama was able to get THAT much passed.

We STILL need a New Deal-sized stimulus, but the Repubs are more interested in their jobs that in America's well-being.

Tog said...

Well, I'LL respond.

If your vague-because-you-have-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about talking-point was intended to compare Obama's proposal to Bush's stimulus package: Just because two things are called 'jobs bills' doesn't mean they're identical.

Hell, even a blonde FOXNoise barking-dog could figure that out (although she'd conveniently 'forget' to mention the cost difference).

Now, 'educate' us on this: What do the assorted GOP candidates have to offer that's better? More failed Bushonomics? More tax dodges for the Already Preposterously Wealthy so that they (could potentially) create more jobs (but instead funnel it all into personal accounts and overseas investment)? Yeah, we already tried that.

Remember how Junior Bush pissed away a huge surplus in the course of a few months? It's just adorable that chowderheads like you persist that Republicans are the party of responsible spending, but reality and the facts continue to hold their liberal bias.

A few weeks ago, I was in line at a bank that was playing CNN. One screaming head shouted "We need less government regulation on businesses, and more tax cuts for 'job creators' [e.g., billionaires]! That'll create jobs!"

The other guy yelled back "Taxes are the lowest they've been in 50 years! So WHERE ARE THE JOBS?"

Right Wing Regurgitator: (disinterested shrug)

Yeah, he couldn't be bothered to defend his own position. The corporate coprophiliacs know that all they need do is keep repeating the same lies, and useful idiots like Anonymous will swallow the shit and thank their masters for the delicious meal.

WV: miledist; "There are miles of distance between Anonymous and reality."

NickE - has bought into the lies and deceit of Obama.

It's not Economics 101. You do not SPEND your way out of a recession. Obama tried that...how is it working for you and the country?

The reason businesses are not investing their money to grow is because of Obama and the Democrat Party.

They don't know what Obama will do next. If Obama is defeated in 2012 you will see the economy grow.

Obama is against 'big business' and 'capitalism' - he has proven this many times. As a result business does not trust him. He told us in 2008 that anyone making over $250,000 would be taxed heavily. That is when businesses began to pull back, cut employees and hoard their money. This will not stop until BHO is gone from the White House.

If you do not understand this, there is no hope for you.

Factinista said...

You're right. Obama does hate capitalism. After all, he hated the big banks and the car companies so much that he gave them millions of dollars.

And, as Bill noted (and you summarily ignored), taxes are the lowest in 50 years, and look where we are now. So cut the garbage about low taxes helping the economy. A lie is a lie, no matter how badly you want it to be true.

Neo Tuxedo said...

Everything Factinista said, plus a reminder: Democrat is a noun; Democratic is an adjective. If you don't know the difference... scratch that. You do know the difference. If you pretend not to know the difference, you automatically disqualify yourself from being taken seriously by intelligent, aware people, as you show yourself to be neither intelligent nor aware.

CW in LA said...

You sure as fuck don't CUT your way out of a recession, anonydumbshit.

Will you concede even the possibility that the president's policies might have worked better if not saddled with a disloyal opposition fighting tooth and nail against their success?

Since you strike me as a profoundly dishonest person, I'm guessing you won't. But you would be wrong.

Tog said...

Is that what they teach you at Beck U, Anonymous? Because that certainly isn't what you'd be taught in Economics 101 at any legitimate school.

Rootbeer said...

They don't know what Obama will do next. If Obama is defeated in 2012 you will see the economy grow.

If "bob creators" become paralyzed when faced with uncertainty... then they would prefer (Republican politician TBD) to be President instead of Obama, because that person's (policies TBD) might be (more favorable than / less favorable than / the same as) those of the President we are certain to have for the next five fiscal quarters?

I use Democrat Party for two reasons:

--Using Democrat pisses liberals off.

--There is nothing Democratic about the party.

Tog...which University did you attend and how many degrees have you earned?

--One question – how did the previous $787 billion he spent work out? So let me make sure I am clear on this. A plan almost twice this size did absolutely nothing, but this new 'stimulus' plan will save the economy? Good luck with that!

I will watch all of you follow your leader over the cliff in 2012. The man-child is way in over his head.

CW in LA said...

Anonydildohead neglected to mention a third reason for his inaccurate usage: It's what the pill-pooping pederast with the multiple sham marriages whom dildohead allows to do his thinking for him does.

Really, didlohead's slavish aping of Blimpbutt makes his use of the term "man-child" quite ironic. Unless, of course, he really is a child, in which case I imagine Rush would like to lure him into his frou-frou blowhard bunker with promises of candy.

CW in LA said...

D'oh, I meant to say pill-POPping. But pooping seems pretty appropriate for someone whose out of control hatemongering, façades and lies, and drug abuse is surely reflected by a lack of control over his bodily functions.

Coming from a Bush Baby and Failin' Flailin' Palin Prat, that's hilarious.

Tog...which University did you attend and how many degrees have you earned?

Nice dodge, coward. Boston University, finished my degree in the USAF. Daddy couldn't buy me a piece of paper from Harvard and Yale so I had to earn my own way.

How about you, big mouth? Care to make up a super-impressive education now? Oh, sorry, you've already said THIS:

A plan almost twice this size did absolutely nothing

Ha ha, what horseshit. Even some of the slime-people at FOX admitted it kept the effects of the Bush Economy from worsening before their masters clamped down on them.

...So we know you're a complete gobbing idiot, no matter what pile of degrees you pull out of your ass.

Using Democrat pisses liberals off. There is nothing Democratic about the party.

So you're saying you're just a simpleminded troll. Hey, we already knew that, but at least we agree on something.

You never did tell us what awesome plan the Republicans have to turn the economy around. I still just see More Of The Same that got us into this mess in the first place. Newspaper editorials from corporate lawyers and other GOP tools continue to squeal for MORE corporate loopholes and LESS regulation. So I ask again: y'got anything BESIDES more of Junior Bush?

Bill the Splut said...

--One question – how did the previous $787 billion he spent work out?

You mean...BUSH'S BANK BAILOUT, don't you? Oh, right, the talking point/rewrite of history now is that the black guy did that.

Keep enjoying your shit sandwiches, Bruce. As that's all they're going to feed you.

Quick side note following the latest GOP debate: Anonymous' "Economics 101" may not come from Beck U, but rather some teabagger seminar that leads to something like this:

Blitzer asked if under Paul’s libertarian philosophy, a sick man without insurance should be allowed to die in the hospital rather than have the state pay his medical bills. Before Paul could answer that question, shouts of “yes!” and cheering bubbled up from the audience.

Just when you thought torture was the lowest point to which we, as a nation, could sink...

Like I said, it's a waste of time to reply to an Anonymous Coward who is too cowardly to give us his name, or at least some sort of ID that "he" is not ashamed to establish a reputation for?

Otherwise, the Coward would admit that at least one of "his" assertions has been debunked. But he won't. He can't. The defining mental disorder of the ideologue is an inability to admit the slightest error.

In contrast, liberals easily and frequently point out that Obama's extension of the Bush tax cuts ran up the "stimulus" package without delivering the jobs, because the rich invested in China instead of the USA. You don't supply stuff where there is no demand. You could cut the price of supply to zero and it is STILL not rational to produce it if consumers can't buy it.

It's more productive to laugh at Anonymous Cowards' rantings and move on.

BTW Anonymous Coward's hero Rush Limbaugh is a rapist of children. He was caught returning from a Dominican Republic sex tour featuring easy access to underage prostitutes, and stated on the air that he had better not talk about what went on. Rush could disprove this claim by showing that he stayed at hotels that didn't feature child sex on demand. But he won't.
