That damned Book

What's Mallard raving about today?

Ron Suskind, President Obama

Hmmmmmm, I don't recall Mallard's footnoted reference to Suskind's writing about President Bush, but I am sure he gave equal space and credence to Suskind when he was writing about a Republican President. because otherwise Mallard would be a total hypocrite and an intellectual lightweight and, well...we all know that can't be the case.

By the way, I refuse to believe that Mallard read a book. Shouldn't he be citing what Townhall told him the book said?

Oh my! Susskind's previous book revealed that British and American intelligence forged a document alleging that 9/11 hijacker Mohammad Atta trained in Iraq.

Do you remember when Mallard Fillmore criticized that crime?

Huh. Only the right would jump on the "wishy washy" and "indecisive" after trying to paint him as a "far left extremist."

Not only that, they think being decisive is a virtue. I wonder though... would Obama actually appear half so wishy-washy if the right actually met him halfway in compromise?

And the joke is where?

I mean, if I were writing this, the president would say "I'm not sure how I feel about this" or "That's not true... well, maybe it is" or "I don't think i'm indecisive, but maybe I should think about it."

That took me 1 minute. Add another half-hour to create a drawing (I'm not artistically inclined, so it will take that long, until I get a backlog of templates I can just cut-and-paste) and I, too, can be a nationally syndicated cartoonist!

Verification: disiste- "Disiste the worsht bar I've ever been to!"- what Tinsley says while taking communion each week.

Because everyone knows that snap, going-with-my-gut decisions are always right, right?

Also, the decision to send the SEAL team in after OBL overrides every word of this piece of shit right-wing hack.

Typical Bruce Tinsely decision: Wild Turkey or Canadian Mist?

Isn't there anything funnier or wittier than to kvetch almost daily about the fact that Tinsley could have/ should have complained about something 4-5 years ago but didn't? Like Tinsley's unfunny, but endlessly repeated gags, the blog comments have worn thin long ago. Maybe time to put this blog to bed and let Tinsley and his duck just wither?

In other news...

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch dropped "Mallard Fillmore" and replace it with "Prickly City".
HOO-RAY!!

One thing I could never stand about Tinsley is the way he always shit-talks young people--seemingly all young people. I've been visiting the "Occupation" movement here in St. Louis and found a lot of deep thinking, aware youth. Visit the one in your town and see for yourself.

Thanks to Davey K. for hosting this blog.

Dear Anonyconcerntroll: Things can get repetitious around here, but that's because we're reacting to something that itself is endlessly repetitious. You're quite welcome to not trouble yourself further with us. Also, go f**k yourself. (Oh my, I'm being uncivil!)

Steve-O: "Also, the decision to send the SEAL team in after OBL overrides every word of this piece of shit right-wing hack."

Batshit: "Oh, but I didn't say it! Susskind says Obama's people said it! If I quote someone or put words in a straw man's mouth, I'm unaccountable, tee hee! Besides, if I scribble my signature in the corner, everyone knows it's, um, eh, humor? ...Except that stupid, hook-nosed, pedophile Jew-boy Jon Stewart, apparently. Truth to power!"

While I often disagree with the politics of Prickly City ("PC"), at least it tries for comprehensible punchlines and every now and then to criticize the Aristocracy of Wealth like an honest conservative would, or at least a guy who is trying harder.
