That damned Diagnosis

What's Mallard raving about today?

Facebook

That final panel could be the capstone to every Mallard Fillmore.

Competent artwork? A modicum of effort? A joke?
A self-depreciating joke?

...All right, what'dya do with the real Batshit?

Almost forgot to check off "agree".

Hmm, never done THAT before. Feels- wrong, somehow.

Verification-tumpa. The sound of a dryer with a shoe in it. Alternately, the sound Tinsley's brain makes as it tries to come up with an idea.

The really bad news for Mallard is that this is the fourth time he's sought a second opinion.

Five out of five doctors agree...

Hm. I wonder where my fishing pole is.

And yet he still managed to get a crotch shot in.

Best. Mallard Fillmore. Ever!

The artwork, while not cutting-edge, still tries for a little bit of layout creativity, with the punchline image inset into the biggest image. Really, this (no sarcasm!) shows noticeable improvement.

I feel so dirty.

BTW (since we seem to have a basic conscensus on today's comic) let me recommend

We Are The 99 Percent Tumblr
. Maybe teapartiers can recognize themselves in those faces.

At least, for the very first time, Mallard speaks truth to Mallard!

Wait until Mallard gets the bill, then he'll really feel like an idiot. "I went to the fucking doctor because I couldn't use facebook and now I owe $750 for a 'consult' and $800 for an MRI? What the hell? That goddamn Obamacare!"

Mallard would most likely call the doctor a quack.

Sorry, could not resist. Still funnier than all MF to date.

Hey, while we're waiting ... on Tuesday Case Western's hosting a webinar on Wartime well worth listening in to.
Formerly, war was a special time justifying special measures, but recently it has become normal. This is a pretty disturbing and dangerous thing for democracy. Even cartoon ducks may agree.

They've cancelled "Mallard Fillmore" and replaced it with a new wide-format version of "Ziggy"!

Hooray!
