That damned Vacation

What's Mallard raving about today?

Leave me alone. I am sleeping in today.

I command you to post a comment.

What about all the things McCain changed his position on, like torture and offshore drilling?

Geez, Obama's a good politician, but he's still a politician when everything's said and done. It's not like this is anything new or unusual.

This is just lazy. He doesn't even choose an issue that Obama changed his position on. I'm sure there must be several. McCain has been a politician for a lot longer, so he's had a lot more opportunity to change his positions. It's one reason why there haven't been any Senators elected president since Nixon.

That "Yes, We Can" slogan could be used for anything. I wonder if we're in for a week of these lame attacks.

Technically, a GOOD politician will change his position depending on the opinions of the majority of people. He is a representative, NOT the final authority.

Hell, that's probably where you get most of the problems with a government that's supposed to be a representative democracy. Barring human rights and what's written in the Bill of Rights and Constitution, a politician is allowed to be as wishy washy as they want provided they are accurately reflecting the wishy-washy-ness of the people they represent.

And there's a lot to be said for changing a position. It can be the result of further thought on the topic, follow-through on how things were effective, and *shock* the idea that the people they represent might have changed their mind.

Hey, this "flip flop" smear worked on Senator Kerry, why shouldn't it work on Senator Obama? I suggest they claim Senator Obama also falsified his war record...

Jeez, McCain thrashes around like a poll-driven, epileptic eel (picture it!), but it's Obama who receives the brunt of Tinsley's Terrible Wrath. Eye Oh Kay Eye Why Are A Are, and then some.

I saw two anti-Kerry books at Savers yesterday, including "Unfit for Command" by Swift Boat Veterans for Truth (ha ha). That made me wonder when the Obama equivalent books will come out. They'll need something even more ridiculous than the swift boaters to bring down Obama, so I look forward to being amused and/or depressed about them.

THIS JUST IN! Obama secretly went to war and never told anybody! We now go to Sean Hannity to tell you why this means you should hate him and everything he does.
