That damned Colonoscopy

What's Mallard raving about today?

Aging, Colonoscopy

That's it? 3 comments on the killing of Osama Bin Laden?

(Bear in mind that this is the same Mallard who has wet his pants at least a dozen times about how we need to profile all Muslims in line to board an airplane.)

And now you're talking about shoving a camera up your cloaca?

Whenever Batshit goes far enough off the rails (usually when he writes something blatantly racist, this time for his THOUGH I WOULD NEVER SIGN UP, I DEIGN TO SPEAK FOR ALL THE SMUG-SMIRKING SEALS OUT THERE faceplant), he always does one of two things: he makes up an "enraged" email that proves him right about everything, or he pretends to be just another funny strip for a day or so...before firing back with some frothy "I'M NOT RACIST! YOU ARE!" santorum.

Since he (badly) played the email card very recently, it's time for plan B.

I am sad and ashamed that I have come to know this pattern by heart.

This is probably a "bunny strip" that the syndicate pulls out and puts in place of some particularly ill-advised Hot Topic strip. Was it Dubya in a flightsuit, saluting in front of a "Mission Accomplished" banner as the REAL hero? Mallard demanding to see the long-form death certificate?

It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

An honest attempt at a joke today--but pretty banal. Can anyone argue against what seems obvious: Tinsley is not funny very often?

@digger - my first thought was that it sounded like it was lifted from one of those lame emails that get circulated. "You know you're old when..." etc.

Been lurking here for a while - thank you for making me no longer afraid to open the comics page of the newspaper. If I read Mallard by mistake now, it's okay.

Since today's "comic" is so lazy, I'll be lazy too and paste my favorite quote of the day (which refers to Cantor's statement that federal disaster money for Joplin, MO would be conditioned on cuts to programs Cantor doesn't like ...)

"When Tom DeLay held Cantor’s job there never was any question that disaster relief would be immediate and without strings attached.

That by today’s standard makes DeLay a moderate."

Hey, this one didn't suck!

Warning, PSA ahead:
If my father hadn't ignored his doctor's advice for over 2 years and gotten a colonoscopy, he likely wouldn't have died of colon cancer. Just something to think about if you're avoiding one yourself.

I've said this, or something like it, before, and I'll probably say it again: I suspect he took his musings on matters Osama-related into legally actionable territory. Based on some of the utter nousney that's made it onto newsprint, I'm pretty sure that's the only purpose his vestigial editor serves, to prevent the printing of anything that could get Tinshley in general and King Features in particular sued for libel.

Me, earlier: "Since he (badly) played the email card very recently, it's time for plan B."

Friday's strip is up, and damned if Batshit didn't prove me wrong by playing the email card again...BADLY.
