I was confused as to why this comic was supposed to be horribly racist, like every other Mallard Fillmore comic, until I remembered that coon was a synonym for porch monkey and Tinsley had an editor to add two letters. Tinsley is saying that Black guys make everyone, even the brown, worse whenever they are around. He thinks that brown guys--in his mind, everyone outside of the Deep South--are disgusting and evil and poor and unselfish, but he still thinks Black guys are far worse.

Word Verification: Vershi vellyme, Latin for "I hated, T destroyed," Tinsley's motto

Hey, Liefeld, who here called this comic "racist"? Who outside of your mind? If you want, you can leave as a reference an unreadable asterisk.

My point was that it should have been declared racist, not that it was declared racist.

Whoops, I based the number of letters added on the correct spelling, not his actual spelling of racoon. Thanks for adding an unnecessary c, you worthless hack.

So...

With all the current events that were going on two weeks ago, GOP race, rise of Santorum (eww), Syria, Afghanistan, transvaginal ultrasound-gate, maybe an Oscars strip, and we get this "comic"? I can't even make sense of it in any context except "Haha, sometimes women ask other women if they look fat, haha!!!!!". What is he, five?
