That damned sag

What's Mallard raving about today?

The Media, Sagginess, Britney, Lindsay, Paris.

I am trying very hard to convince myself that the ratings are getting "saggy" despite the complete lack of textual evidence to support that interpretation.

The alternatives are too horrible to contemplate.

'Course, Tinsley isn't exploiting these sad idiots' "sleaze factor" for attention, heavens no. That would be, you know, hypocritical.

Two backs-of-heads and one face obscured by glasses. Just another day in the life of the laziest ass who still gets paid to scribble.

Meanwhile, I can't help but wonder if Tinny will have anything to say about this wonderful moment, brought to you by Fox Trash Channel.

...I'm betting no.

While the art is lazy, the problem with this strip is the writing: it's boring. Just boring!

Take a note: a comic should be funny!.

Only then can you hold your audience to slip in whatever political point you want.

*yawn*

Hey, Mallard, don't try to flip the channel or anything. You might actually find something non-sleazey which would disprove your theory and leave you without a strip to write about.

Keep it up, Bruce, don't let reality dampen your dream of sticking it to the man! Don't let the fact that it cures insomnia let you down!

Well, it's Saturday's strip...and Mallard still hasn't moved a feather.

The TV (rather, a celebrity on the TV), on the other hand, has switched the subject to...the dangers of living in California? ...Really?

Look, do I really have to point out that any locale on the face of the freaking Earth is subject to natural disasters?

Or do things like heatwaves, snowstorms and hurricanes not count because climate change is "just a liberal fantasy?"

You're watching too much teevee, Tinny. I'd tell you to read a damn book, but you'd probably go out and buy a copy of Jonah Goldberg's ridiculous Liberal Fascism, and I wouldn't wish that upon whichever poor soul would have to read it to (and, as preposterous as it is, dumb it down for) you.
