That damned irony

What's Mallard raving about today?

Teachers, Adjectives, Irony.

Now you're just wasting everyone's time inventing some lame criticism of teachers which has nothing to do with teaching.

Free yourself. Be proud of who you are. Take pen in hand and write "I fucking hate teachers" in big bold letters, ship that off to your syndicate, and be done with it.

Alternate observation: A Right Wing water-carrier who doesn't recognize irony? Next you'll tell me they are incapable of recognizing their own rank hypocrisy.

Any real teacher could easily point out the flagrant misuse of the word "ironic" in common language (and in this comic).

I've never heard a teacher say that.

Which means I didn't have teachers, I had a strange race of aliens who did not study the teaching language being presented now in the strips before they attempted to subvert children in public school systems.

Mallard doesn't make things up, so it's the only logical explanation.

Are we almost done with the Back-To-School series? This is just lame.

Man, Tinsly has become completely unhinged over teachers. Seriously, WTF brought on this week long primal scream of rage about teachers!? Just what the hell sort of a point is he trying to make with all this!?

Don't worry, it will soon be the 2-week anniversary of Joe Biden joining the Democratic ticket and I'm sure we'll see him as another Mr. PenisChin soon. Then a week later we can enjoy the "They're mean to Sarah Palin" strips (perhaps he'll even accuse the media of making her look like a witch).

Doesn't Mallard know that irony is like rain, on your wedding day?

(That song makes more sense than Mallard Fillmore.)

Is that a microphone?

Let me guess. I'll bet when he was in school, Bruce Tinsley was one of those guys who sat in the back of the class, acted obnoxious, beat up on the smart kids and shoved them into lockers and got in trouble almost every day when he was in high school. And then as now, it was never his fault, it was the teacher's.

I bet Tinsley learned how to write letters and words, and how to construct sentences, and how to draw things and apply artistic techniques, from many many teachers.

Given his success with writing words and drawing things, it's no wonder he thoroughly loathes and despises the people who taught him how to do it. In crazy fucked-up doesn't-ever-fucking-make-sense-ever world where Tinsley cheerily makes his residence, apparently. With the president.
