That damned responsibility

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, Responsibility.

If I understand this correctly, Mallard is mocking Obama for taking responsibility and telling the truth.

Those two attributes are pretty much the antithesis of the Republican Party, so I think I do understand this correctly.

Wow. I had no idea that Obama was president for the last 9 years. Who knew?

I"ve seen fish drown with more grace and dignity then the current brand of republican die hards.

Mallard has just never seen a President take responsibility, so he's trying to grasp what it means. I had also forgotten what it looks like... it will take some adjustment.

Perhaps your average fish drowns with more grace and dignity than a reichwing blowhard gasping for talking points ... because a fish never have to admit to themselves that they've been willingly bamboozled by lies that wouldn't fool a 2-year-old, AND completely repudiated by our great country.

Oddly I think I actually understand the comic, which sort of scares me. Apparently it's Tinsley trying to say that Obama is claiming to take responsability while simultaneously blaming it on the previous administration and other groups. If that is the case though it could have been done a lot cleaner because as it is it's a bit clumsy.

Politics aside when the words coming from a characters mouth are so tortuous that the sentence seems to be eating itself it might be time to either go for better illustrations of point or take a few writing workshops to focus on direct sentences.

I just HAD to say this: Republicans are sniveling liars and cowards, and people like Tinsley are their public face.

They are making such a public spectacle of themselves right now... it's really like watching a car crash. I even watched some Glenn Beck the other night, because I couldn't believe what I was seeing on Colbert about him. I tell you, my jaw was sore from continually dropping.
