I'll take Joe Biden over having inherited President Bush's actual Vice President any day.

Batshit, do you remember when Junior Bush was stumbling all over the place, manhandling anyone who came within arm's reach, droppin' dogs, chokin' on pretzels, searchin' the Oval for WMDs ("HAW! HAW! Soljerz is dyin'! This is hard werk!") and humiliating the nation every single time he opened his unconnected-to-a-brain yap?
Remember who was one of the big crybabies screaming, "Stop picking on Junior!!," Batshit?
Look in the mirror if you need a hint. (I know your memory may be slightly impeded by alcohol.)
Bush's gaff: Telling a single mother working 3 jobs "only in America" as if it was the American dream
Biden's gaff: Calling a custard stand manager a smart*ss after calling the custard ice cream. (Custard manager than refused to talk down Biden on FOX news).
Frankly, I think the reason that the right hates Biden is that he is more the guy you enjoy sharing a beer with than the clueless yuppie they put in office.
Palin, Biden, Kemp, Quayle, Mondale, Agnew... since the ratification of the 25th Amendment, the political role of the Vice President has been--in addition to providing regional and experiential balance to a campaign--to draw critical fire away from the President, and make him look better by comparison.
No number of verbal gaffes will erase Joe Biden's stellar record on many of the issues I care about.
It's important to push the meme that the Left unfairly blames the Right for problems that the Right left behind (and which their congress drones still refuse to address).
Meanwhile, Fox News was blaming the oil spill on Clinton three or four weeks back, and quite likely since then as well.

Tog says pretty much all that needs to be said. Tinsley, old man, sometimes I'm amazed my ability to keep being amazed by your limitless mendacity.
I guess I just don't hang on to the vice president's every word like you do, Ducks. Cause, really, who gives a fuck what Biden says?
Yeah, the best gaffe was where he shot his buddy in the face.....oh, rigggggght. Weren't they duck hunting? Too bad he missed his target.
It's a couple of days too late, but...
THINGY
I'll just add that there's the other alternative to Bush's VP, the would-have-been VP Palin. Thanks but no thanks!
Bush's gaff:
Mission accomplished banners.
Biden's gaff:
"It's a big ***king deal" on mic

GOP: Got Only Projection.
Loosen up, that was actually pretty good for a change! Not great, but almost clever.
Not really. He's already made this "joke" about a hundred times.
If there were any truth to this strip, it would be funny. But there isn't, so it's not.
In other words, a typical day in Tinsleyville.
I for one hope the reichwing keeps saying "Bush Administration" over and over.
Most Americans agree it was a total disaster so please remind us again why we don't want the GOP in office.
