That damned Department

What's Mallard raving about today?

DC Landmarks, Justice Department.

When President Bush turned the Justice Department into an enforcement wing of the Republic National Committee, nary a peep.

But now, now, the Justice Department is a Mickey Mouse outfit?

I don't get it. Mickey ears are a symbol of a rather prolific, large, and powerful industry. Is he implying the justice department is corporate owned?

Or is he implying that it's regularly attacked by loonies who see a sinister agenda in most routine and normal dealings?

Or is he just saying the DOJ is republican because Walt Disney was?

So I can't even tell: is this meant to be a swipe at some specific thing that the current DoJ has done, or is it just a generic BLARG OBAMA thing? With a worthless hack like Tinsley, it's tough to say.

He just couldn't draw the building with a big, hooked nose, that's all.

"JEWSPIRACY! ...But I'm not a bigot!"

The what landmark?
OH! He means the Depart of Justice. Because that's what it's called.

I have no reaction to this, because for the life of me, I have no godly clue what prompted Ducky's chihuahua-esque rage. Maybe his DUI appeal was rejected, or something.

On the plus side, VW is formsh. Which is funny, given my theory and today's bureaucratic topic.

This cartoon fails because an explanation is needed. The Judicial, in my estimation, is the least corrupted of the branches of government. And I don't remember anything significant happening in the Supreme Court lately. What gives? Did some judge deny the motion to remove his breathalyzer ignition system?

I'm going to guess this is about the Justice Dept. declining to prosecute the Latter-Day Black Panthers: Even though Bush's Dept. of Justice could find nothing to prosecute (so there had to have really been absolutely nothing there), it's still Obama's fault, because, you know: Negroes booga booga booga.

I think this is about the justice department's attempts to keep Arizona from rounding up everyone with more melatonin than Carrot Top and sending them on a one-way trip to Sonora. Because the Justice Department are ... um ... the real racists, or something?

You know that Hacky McPlastered has lost touch when even people as intimately and uncomfortably familiar with his neuroses and bigotry as we are can't quite piece together exactly what he's getting at with any certainty, though.

Solution to today's "Spot the Error": It's actually the U.S. Copyright Office that's owned by Disney!

So he's finally getting around to commenting on the Tommy Chong bust?
Right on Ducky! You tell 'em.

So is there supposed to be some clever symbolism in the buildings leaning left?

Nah -- that'd be giving Brucie too much credit. More likely, he was just having trouble sitting up straight.

Frank: You answered your own question the moment you used the word "clever" in regard to Tinshley.

Maybe he's just following up on Caribou Barbie's complaint about how judges are always doing stuff like interpreting the law like they're some kind of co-equal branch of government or something.

WV: sedykno. How Brucie refers to the website "Sadly, No" after doing some "research".

Since the Obama Administration did NOT require all Bush political appointees in the DOJ to offer their resignations (...leaving in place the corrupt federal prosecutor in Alabama who continues to charge the former Democratic governor of that state with a crime that doesn't exist ...) AND Eric Holder has yet to indict Bush & Cheney for the 4000+ cases of felony-murder that come out of their 18 USC 1001 felonies of lying to Congress about the evidence for invading Iraq (...any foreseeable death occurring during the commission of a felony is felony-murder...) I'm afraid I may have to agree with Tinshley on this one ...

...although not for the reasons he'd like.
