That damned Host

What's Mallard raving about today?

Muammar Gaddafi, MSNBC

Nice timing.

HOLY @$%#

Sorry, Shoe-Shopper, you know you've fallen from grace when someone the likes of Batshit spits in your face.

Actually, every time he mentions MSNBC, more people might tune in. I started watching Morning Joe during my workouts based on the duck's "recommendation".

My God. Is this really a comic written with perspective of "HAW HAW haven't found Qadaffi yet HAW HAW FART"? Man, Tinshley's like that old Greek myth about Cassandra, except always wrong and stinking of retsina.

Hey, Bruce, can you start work on a series about how Rush Limbaugh's still alive, so we can all start celebrating in a few days?

Jesus H. Christ! I've never seen anything less witty, less informative, and just plain lazy as today's "comic".

This is wrong on so many levels it's just hard to put into words.

First of all Bruce, did you not realize that the Bush administration practically fellated Qadafi lauding the surrender of is nuclear program as some sort of grand victory in the war on terror?

Second, are you talking about the cable news channel that I turn on every morning before I've even had my fucking coffee to see the idiot Joe "Dead Intern" Scarborough smarmily lying to me, along with Mark "Dick" Halperin, and Willie "I think I'm way funnier than I am" Geist?

It's muddled, but it seems clear to me this was a post-Qadaffi strip. He just wants to associate the late dictator with MSNBC while sniping at their ratings.

Personally, I'm charmed that he can do two things at once, like farting while he's chewing gum. The fact that he doesn't do either of them worth crap is a mere detail.

I guess Brews is officially telling us that he's not even trying to hide the fact that he's not even trying.

Isn't it time for Daffy and Donald and Baby Huey to stage an intervention?

"We love you, duck, but you can't go on this way."

The strip would have been more accurate (not to mention funnier) if the second panel had read thusly:

MALLARD: ...or as a supporting character in "Mallard Fillmore"....

QADHAFI: Up next.... who's hotter?.. Sarah Palin or my darling Leezza?...

I almost said, Steve-O: my kindly gray-haired mother watches Morning Joe for some reason. I'll start actively watching it, not just passively tolerating it being on, when and if FOXPAC gives Gary Condit his own show.

...Because MSNBC loved Kadaffi? What? Jesus.

Never once did it occur to Bruce to call his editor and say, "hey, I have a strip in the works somewhere about this guy who was just killed, we need to pull it."
GOD, it must be nice to be this bad at your job.

Who the fuck is Leezza?

Leezza is Condalisa Rice, apparently he had a crush on her and wrote her songs or poetry. (she was on the Daily Show recently)

So until I got to that point, I was like blah blah what's the stupid going to be?

Then I snorted. at mallard.
