That damned Palin

What's Mallard raving about today?

Sarah Palin, N.O.W., Hillary Clinton

Finally! Mallard gets to Sarah Palin. He starts off with a softball.

Those diesel dyke feminists at N.O.W. are such hypocrites! They supported Hillary Clinton, who represents pretty much everything they stand for, but they don't support Sarah Palin, who represents the opposite of pretty much everything they stand for.

Don't they realize Sarah Palin has boobs? And a vagina?

As if this were not enough glee-inducing stupidity, Mallard once again conveniently forgets that our current President rose to political prominence due to his own familial connection.

I mean, why wouldn't NOW get behind a candidate who made rape victims pay for their own test kits? She's like the epitome of the women's rights crusader!

Who is today's cartoon for?

It can't be for Hillary supporters; they would only be pissed off. After all, Clinton's been a U.S. Senator longer than Palin was mayor of Wasilla; even before Hillary's White House experience, she was a competent and experienced professional, named to National Law Journals' "Top 50 Lawyers" list twice. She's a tad to corporatist for my taste, but Palin isn't fit to make her photocopies.

No, today's strip is aimed at McCain's base, reminding them to vote Republican because only ugly women want equal rights.

Vote for the hot chick cuz smart women are uppity!

Some facts about Sarah Palin:

She is the first woman to run on a republican presidential ticket.

(waits while that sinks in).

Her lack of experience is acceptable for vice-presidency.
To emphasize the fact that she is a woman is acceptble.
She is allowed to flipflop.

Now, Mallard style, I am waiting for all the apology letters from conservatives who made a big deal about Hillary and Obama.

Re nic's comment: I remember the numbered list of Mallard's tropes, but I can't recall exactly how the list went, and I can't remember when it was posted. Could anyone provide a link, please?

Why is everyone acting like this is such a monumental event anyway? The Democrats did it 24 years ago.

A N.O.W. member portrayed as an overweight, unattractive woman with a mannish haircut? In MY conservative comic strip?

This cartoon actually makes sense - the strawdyke and her rear end are making two distinct, factual statements.

Wait - that was supposed to be a woman? I thought it was a fat teenage boy.

Same drawing will show up when Tinsley decides to bitch about "Playstations."

I think you mean "Play Stations."

Today's equation:

That woman's face in today's Mallard = the face of every girl who turned Bruce Tinsley down in high school and college.
