Those damned Xenophobes

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, Collectibles.

OK, recycling the bitter comment is completely out of left field and makes no sense whatever in this context.

I'm reluctantly forced to give Tinsely a little credit here. Three slams in one "comic". He's got the Press worship of Obama, the never-ending collectables series, and the old elitist charge. All he needed was a penis chin and the circle was complete... wait... I do believe this "comic" is capable of generating its own power!

Collectibles don't bother me that much.

There's a thing called a remote, so even if you're exceptionally lazy, there is still no excuse for not being able to change the channel and ignore these.

And if other people actually like them and buy them, more power to them. Guess I'm libertarian after all, I don't stand in the way of someone's right to collect crap.

Are Republicans even capable of understanding that by constantly griping about the "bitter" comment, they're making themselves look kind of, y'know, BITTER?

Isn't that like responding to charges of racism by ranting about "halfricans" and calling Obama "boy"? And only an idiot would do that, right?

DaveK--You expect sense from a Mallard comic?

Three days in a row now? Mallard has spent nearly half of Obama's historic first week bitching about tchotchkes?! They say the Republicans are out of ideas, but I had no idea things were this bad.

Obama is slowly turning into the Mac Tonight spokesperson.

If you asked me to describe the physical characteristics of President Obama, one of them would not be "long chin". What the Eff is going on? (I mean, I know what's going on... it's Mallard, after all. Even so...)

You know how Tinsley--and conservatives in general--could REALLY disprove the "bitter" comment, and thus TOTALLY stick it to Obama? By rising above it and not harping endlessly on stupid, petty bullshit. Unfortunately, for that to work they'd have to genuinely not be bitter. So it's pretty much a lost cause.

I hereby apologize for claiming that Monday's strip was amusing. This joke is about as fresh after three days as egg salad.

Oh, Geox, you ask so much!

Can they really deny their gods: Greed, Anger and Pettiness?
