That damned Workplace

What's Mallard raving about today?

Progressives, Pets, The Workplace

Because Progressives are well-known for their hatred of Labor.

Honestly, has mallard lost what was left of his mind?

So Noseworthy wants to have a pets policy to show how progressive they are but he doesn't want to do anything that will make work better for employees because he hates employees even though the obvious reason for the pets policy is to make things easier for employees--because when libruls try to help people, they never ACTUALLY want to help people; it's all a nefarious game where they want to LOOK like they're helping people while actually HURTING people because they're evil sociopaths who for some reason nonetheless care very much about projecting a caring, sensitive image. 'Zat about it? I think it's been a LONG time since Tinsley had an actual coherent "thought" as opposed to an involuntary spasm of equal parts regurgitated wingnut talking points and gin, but even for him, this is breathtakingly psychotic.

This strip doesn't make any sense unless you are so absolutely delusional to think that those who called themselves progressive are goateed, pitchfork-wielding villains who exist only to create evil for its own sake. That they implement programs for no other reason than to make everyone else's lifes more difficult, and occasionally guess wrong on what will upset the most number of people. And only the heroes on the far right can see these demons for what they really are. This posits a world that is more hackneyed and motivation-less than the worst written fan fiction. Disturbing

Libruls like to do things other people hate! Hur hur!

Straw man? What is this straw man you speak of? It is related to that Wizard of Oz movie I never watched?

Reality: employer who is not insane right-wing introduces policy popular with many workers. Mallard hates it, therefore all progressive employers try to do things all their employees hate.

Who says projecting conservative traits onto liberals isn't a laff riot? It's been comedy gold for nigh-onto 50 years now.

Wow, Tinshley was so drunk when he woke up this morning that he thought he was Scott Adams.

Someone please bring a Labrador Retriever to Mallard's work.

In other news, I'll be right there with Mallard Fillmore when he gets around to condemning Mel Gibson's continued drinking problems, racism, sexism, and general anger management issues and his complete inability to take responsibility for his "short fuse".

Oh wait. He "apologized" and it will be the liberal media's fault for playing a tape recording of his own words from his own mouth. I'm sure "I am going to come and burn the f**king house down... but you will blow me first" has been taken out of context by liberal elitists.

Er...sorry about that. Now they're appearing, and I sound like a crazy person. Blogspot was flaking out on me last night.

For the record, Faster, when I posted last night, the only comment I saw was Tog's. Weird.

Holy shit!!! Just when you think Batshit Tinshley couldn't possibly make a "comic" strip more idiotic and non-sensical than the prevoius one, he does it. Bravo, sir, bravo!!

Umm...ok? So Progressives are supposed to like things that workers hate? Or is this an attempt to do a joke about how management might make a decision based around buzzwords rather than actual effectiveness? If its the latter the joke works, however it's grotesquely clumsy.

I removed your comments GeoX, so you look a little less psychotic.

Though, using today's Mallard Fillmore as a yardstick, you were a model of level-headedness.

Thanks. Yeah, it did occur to me--no matter how crazy I may act, at least I have the consolation of being able to remind myself: whatever else I may be, I'm not Bruce Tinsley.

Is he an animal in this world?

Because I'd bring my dog to work, and even if it's my 10 pound something mix, he'd still be really curious about this duck.

I don't get this at all.

And a pet policy is progressive? No it's not, strawman progressives would be too worried about possible allergies.

I've known policies that screw over the employees, but how can anyone hate this? I mean, I'm allergic to dogs and cats and probably any other furry pets, but my first reaction is YAY! puppies!

My head hurts.

"whatever else I may be, I'm not Bruce Tinsley."

Why isn't that the name of the strip, instead of "Mallard Filmore?"

Readership would soar ... by at least 5 ... doubling overnight.
