I gotta go with John Edwards' Hair, for making an issue out of something totally irrelevant.
Although the one with Mallard pretending to be a more important wingnut than O'Reilly is pretty good.
What are we voting for?
The one we like for sheer badness, or the one we hate despite the badness?
I think I'm going with the Carter one if it's the second one.
I'm going with "liberal media" because it bears the closest resemblance to the talking point as stated by the right-wing noise machine and its wholly owned subsidiary the GOP, speaking ex cathedra from their xgusbaw.
So many good choices...but I had to go with "Jimmy Carter," because the relevancy issue has since become ironic.
Liberal Media is a good one because of the flagrant un-liberalness of the media during the last few years (remember all those anti-war voices on TV before going into Iraq? Oh, right, there were none).
But I have to vote for John Edwards because not only is it such a complete non-issue, but it is obvious that it's a meme intentionally distributed for propaganda - it's not like all these conservatives can come up with this asinine idea independently.
By the way, props to factinista for coming up with the award name. I love it.
Also thanks to DaveyK, for undergoing a task no man should be subjected to: sifting through a year's worth of Mallard cartoons. That's even worse than those artificial inseminator jobs I hear about at the zoo.
I went with Global Warming for sheer volume.
