What's Mallard raving about today?
Fox, President Obama.
Travel day from hell for me, but at least now I don't have to go find the article which disproved this lie, since Kip W put the link in yesterday's comments.
So, yeah, here's how an 8% bump lie happens, with an actual useful link rather than an asterisk to "Since 'War' Began - AP"
Nice way to commemorate Veteran's Day, Mallard. I'm sure all those brave folks who fought in an actual war really appreciate your efforts.

Oh, that's what it says.
That's twice now that Tinsley's forgotten Veterans' Day, for all his wrapped-in-the-flag phony patriotism.
Sometime during the next two weeks, expect a strip blaming Obama or the "liberal media" (or Obama AND the "liberal media") for it.
Who cares?
Ratings have absolutely NOTHING to do with the quality, honesty, or integrity of a news program. Truth is boring, fantasy is more entertaining.
Even if Fox's ratings went up a ginormous, gigantical, huge-o-crazy 8 measly percent (which they didn't), wouldn't it have been because of people who've never wasted their time and brain cells watching Fox doing so because Obama made them aware of Fox's existence? When I was a kid, I'd look under a wet rock to see the slimy bugs under it, but I wasn't doing it because I valued the bugs' opinions.
For gods sake, make it stop. Judging by the amount of ink this is getting, you'd think that the two biggest crises in 2009 were the FOX News War, and influx of Obama collectibles.

Bill - That is priceless.
Cheers!

I can't wait for his excuse this year! (I mean it's dated and everything - he knew when it would run!)
However, I'm gagging at thought that he'll combine his pathetic late tribute with an attack on Muslims. I dread his Fort Hood strips.
Meanwhile, Tom Corburn (R) celebrated Veterans Day by blocking aid to disabled veterans.
I wonder what Mallard's servicemember daddy would have said about THAT?
Bruce: "He would say, 'Megadittos! No to Death Panel Socialism!' THAT's what he would say!"
Dad: "No I wouldn't! You're sick, son. You need help."
Bruce: "HE WOULD SAY MEGADITTOS! HE WOULD SAY MEGADITTOS OR ELSE HE GETS THE HOSE AGAIN!"
Mallard: "And don't forget the part about Death Panel Socialism!"
Bruce: "AND THE PART ABOUT DEATH PANEL SOCIALISM! SAY IT! SAY IT THE HOSE!! I SWEAR TO GOD, THE HOSE!!"
Ah, the old "ratings determine superior journalism" schtick. I wonder of Paddy Chayevsky knew, when he wrote Network, that an entire segment of society would treat it as wish-fulfillment fantasy.
Oh, and no doubt Tinshley was too busy two weeks ago, putting together his secret puzzle basement for the trick or treaters who made the mistake of stopping by his place on Halloween, to remember that 11/11 has some significance.
Either that, or he has some reason not to want to remind his readers about war. Naaaah.
In other "news," Lou Dobbs (who, like Tinsley, isn't racist at all) has abruptly signed off CNN "to pursue other opportunities." Naturally, boards are on fire with conspiracy theories and accusations against the White House.
Personally, I chalk it up to him getting up today and seeing his ass whipped in public.
Either way, things should get interesting around here in two weeks.
I am finding this strange, since the asterisk just says what most people might imply, yet he doesn't say where he got it from, and apparently media matters says this is not the case.

Oh, as a side note, this link is more related to Veterans day and I figure Tinny will be screaming about it as will the other right wing talking heads soon enough.
