The Republican Party has a voter identification of between 18-22% among any demographic that could reasonably be referred to as "kids."

Yesterday, Tinsley's very own Harry and Louise seemed to be bemoaning the lack of civility on Tinsley's behalf; today, Tinsley's extra-pathetic straw-hippy is bemoaning incivility for the sake of his fellow liberals.
Elsewhere, Tinsley clasps a hand over his mouth to stifle a giggle at his own brilliant wit.
Oddly the hippy could be totally serious and honest. The way talk radio has gotten is pretty bad, most of the time you have blind pundity and racist comments. You have people who egg on guys taking guns to town hall meetings. I could see someone legitimately calling it a menace because they see it leading to riots and all kinds of horrible.
"Damn SIXTIES! Damn SIXTIES and their damn HIPPIES and their damn DRUGS and REBELLION and ROCK MUSIC and CIVIL RIGHTS and shit! If only the damn SIXTIES had never happened, the damn DEMOCRATS and LIBERALS would've gone the way of the damn DODO and the damn WOMEN would've stayed in the damn KITCHEN and the damn DARKIES would've stayed in their damn PLACE! Damn SIXTIES!!"
WV: Upigen: Brand name for an over-the-counter drug that alkies like Brucie can take when a night of "research" has left them too out of sorts to stand up. Restores sense of balance, but not sense of reality.
No, Tinz. These "kids" with their talk radio and incivility aren't a menace; I'm more concerned about the ones who bring guns to Presidential town halls and polling places...
My only question is why the tone of the last few days should be seen as any kind of surprise? Rather, this seems like the core of the Fox/Neocon/Mallardoid message.
Anyone who has ever dealt with a punk schoolyard bully knows this technique. You find your victim; you subject them to some sort reprehensible torment; keeping at it until they react in some way, never mind how comparatively mildly.
At this point you go into your poor martyr act, screaming to anyone who will listen "...but he called me a mean name!!" and gleefully use this as a justification for further, more vicious attacks.
This sort of cr@p is straight out of the fifth grade. (But, considering the source, I'm simply being redundant.)
The average age of a radio listener is over 50. This includes most types of shows, not just the talk shows. The average age of a person in the US is between 34 and 40.
As for specifically talk radio, to take the "giant" Limbaugh, the statistics mean that "kids these days" would have to be white, making over 60k a year, over 50, male, and without any children.
Ooh, "acid rock!" Sounds scaaaaary. Because it references drugs! Certainly wholly unlike anything that nice young lad Rush Limbaugh would be into! And not at all like booze, which is all the nutrition a growing Indiana boy needs, officer.
If only "the kids" did want to stop the wars. Most of them are as befuddled as their parents in thinking Iraq was responsible for 9/11 or some such rubbish.
The sad fact is, what the old hippie said is true. The nut-baggers and the rest of the wrong-wing are truly becoming a dangerous and unhinged minority in this country, and their hate and stupidity is fueled by the overpaid liars on talk radio, fat boy, mannitee, Becky, Savage-Wiener etc.

"You lie!" = the Civil Rights Movement.
Rush Limbaugh = the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Excuse me while I throw up.

Look at the bright side. No duck today. Probably cowering under the covers because it's Friday the 13th.
Wow...the hippie movement has been done for about forty years, Tins...let is go, man.
Kids listen to the radio?
Really?

"Stop the War" = "Stop Health Care"
"Kids" are demanding less health care?
Remember, Tinkley, the world is not laughing WITH you ... we're laughing AT you.
