That damned Credibility

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, Credibility.

Unlike the credibility you get by commenting endlessly on a President with an approval rating in the 40's when you never commented on the last President when his approval fell into the 20's, am I right?

Mallard Fillmore commenting on credibility is the funniest thing that has appeared in this strip's entire history.

Bruce "Batshit" Tinsley, who like George W. Bush was secretly against the invasion of Iraq, and has banged the drum for the GOP over the ACORN non-scandal and so many other outrageous Brietbart-style lies, deigns to lecture us about credibility.

Wow. Talk about "shovel ready." In his case, straight from the horses' ass.

There's a bright side to the election; the Party of No will actually have to come up with something better than obstruction if they don't want to suffer yet another massive blowback in two years. Good luck! Even Jonah Goldberg is pointing out that their number-one priority is, instead, internal power struggles.

Meanwhile, how about that Jerry Brown? He bided his time and saved his resources while everyone cried he wasn't campaigning hard enough, and let Meg Whitman jump into the quicksand and thrash around wildly, pissing away a fortune. Then in the last couple of weeks he moseyed on up and nailed her hide to the wall with her own idiocy. California thanks you for the cash infusion, Meg...now piss off. (Meanwhile, Arizona went with a candidate who suffered a shocking mental collapse onstage during a debate simply because she ran on a hate-based platform. Kudos, Arizona, I wish you were further away from me.)

It's put up or shut up time for the GOP.

Who am I kidding? They won't do either one.

I'm not sure how the recent election damages the president's credibility. Those who think he's a liar will continue thinking the same, no damage done. The rest of us are just hoping that the increase in opposition makes him less inclined to compromise. He can still get things done, and now the GOP is exposed without having a ton of power.

Now, why would Bruce run a reprint of a strip from November of 2006?

Oh, wait...

According to Mallard's own standards, this is Obama's ultimate validation.

Also, I'm hella proud to be a Californian this week. We elected a great public servant in Jerry Brown, and more importantly, didn't disgrace ourselves by electing any weird prominent right-wingers.

Also, thank god we didn't legalize marijuana because according to the Taiwanese, chiddens would be eating pot ice cream after school!
