That damned Nixon

What's Mallard raving about today?

President Obama, Fox, Rush Limbaugh, President Nixon.

President Nixon's operatives broke into Lewis Fielding's office in order to get psychiatric info on Daniel Ellsberg's mental state to discredit him. President Nixon illegally wiretapped Daniel Ellberg. President Nixon had reporters audited. President Nixon's henchmen plotted to murder Jack Anderson.

President Obama's staff said that they will treat Fox as an opposition media outlet.

Worst comparison ever.

Was Tinsley drunk during his American History class in high school or something?

Well, probably, but still.

Uh, I do believe Rush and FOX are both excited over the controversy. That's why they hype up any criticism to look like they are victims, and what they were aiming for.

Two very interesting things have happened since Obama became president:

1) He is often compared to republicans when it comes to insults and

2) All this Obama's waterloo obsession has people on the right admitting that the conduct they once defended in the previous administration was actually not so good. His "Hurricane Katrina", "My pet goat moment", and terrorist attacks (though they punt that one to Clinton) all imply that apparently Bush did screw up and they know it.

Two words for you, Bruce: Helen Thomas.

Some other words: free speech zones.

And a phrase: "Where was the outrage then, hypocrite?"

How, exactly, does anything else in today's strip infringe upon freedom of the press? Reagan once told a reporter to shut up. Was Reagan an enemy of America? I await your answer...although I'm sure it's something along the lines of "Oh, it's all right when WE do it."

You can read this strip - and in fact I did - as: whatever Obama may have done is NOTHING compared to what Nixon did.

Tinkley isn't even competent as a hack.

Am I high or is Obama here a zombie?

Irony: under the USA/PATRIOT Act, the Fielding burglary and Ellsberg wiretaps would be legal.

Pay no attention to the man cutting brush. What Obama did is completely unprecedented! Really! And it's just like what Nixon did, only worse, because Nixon was one of Us. Because Shut Up, that's why.

WAR ON THANKSGIVING ALERT!

This just in: who denounced Thanksgiving dinner as "too much work" ... and took her family to Quiznos instead?
Sarah Palin

Heh! Now Quizno's should hire actresses from those "Nailin' Palin" videos (eurgh), dress 'em in funny hats, give one a guitar, and have them sing.
