Those damned Polls

What's Mallard raving about today?

MSNBC

After 4 days of taking cheap shots at Liberals and the Media using ridiculous Straw Men, on Day 5 Mallard chastises the Media for taking cheap shots.

Also, 5 days have gone by without any show of respect for the actual victims.

Stay classy, Mallard!

Speaking of polls, how do you like the way Obama's have shot upwards, Batshit? That Teabagger Tidal Wave o'Triumph is really making him look good by comparison now!

Let us never forget: using tragedy to "take cheap political shots" offends Batshit deeply (when he thinks he can score his own cheap points with such accusations), but when the GOP uses tragedy to lead America into bad policies and endless war, Bruce "Truth to Power" Tinsley responds with complete and utter silence.

Bruce is at his most articulate then.

The thing that makes the Right upset about cheap shots is that nobody understands that their feelings are more important than civility, or any number of dead people.

The thing that makes Tin most upset about cheap shots is that he has to wait until Friday afternoon, when the damn bar is always full.

Pot.

Kettle.

Black and/or green, depending on whether the artist's shakes are well enough under control to ink between the lines, or if he has to delegate to the colorist.

How many times has he used exactly the same cartoon drawing of the duck in front of the television, with only the words changed?

Mallard watches MSNBC? If that was the case I think he'd be more well-informed.

New Theory: Bruce Tinsley is no longer doing "Mallard Fillmore".

A King Features intern (a.k.a. "free labor from a college student desparate to build a resume") adds a GOP talking point to stock images, occasionally using photoshop to change a line or two.

Is there any evidence to the contrary?

Like most cranky, spoiled children, ultraconservatives and libertarians (which are essentially the same thing) cannot conceive of anyone else's needs or sensibilities, and so react with petulant, bewildered rage whenever anyone dares to remind them that their words and actions have consequences.

And like those same cranky, spoiled children, they never learn.

Which is funny, because They at Fox News thinks that empathy makes you a Nazi.
But yeah, no, MSNBC is so irresponsible.

Tinsley reminds me more and more every day of that SNL sketch fromt he 90s, where the teleprompter in the newsroom breaks. Within minutes, the entire news team, with the loss of the Holy Relic that tells them what to say, devolves past Lord of the Flies, resulting in the weatherman being brutally beaten to death and cannibalized.
Thank god Fox News tells you who to hate, Bruce.

Huh? They what, now? ... Hey, that's right! Check it out, everybody! The words change! They may sound the same every day, but they actually change.

It's like discovering an Easter egg in a video game. The words change! Thanks, A!

The most depressing fact is that it doesn't carry the email address for the strip, suggesting it's from a good few years back. He couldn't even be bothered to go back and add a scribble to one of the corners.
