That damned Relief

What's Mallard raving about today?

I have no idea, I am on vacation and avoiding Mallard Fillmore.

Y'ain't missin' much, Davey. Wall of scrawl, two might-as-well-be-copied-and-pasted images of Mallard, and (as one should expect from a true patriotic free-speech-lovin' American like Bruce Tinsley) a sneering celebration at the imaginary demise of a voice of dissent with which he disagrees. Lazy and hypocritical--just another day in Tinsleytown.

Say, no Purge Daley? What's the matter, Truth-To-Power? Did you get spanked by some stupid b%$#&es who clearly don't understand or appreciate your satirical brilliance?

Enjoy your vacation, Davey!

Wow.

Is he really going to mock the fund raising efforts for earthquake victims in Haiti? Because the timing of this is in really bad taste.

I'm outraged that Davey skipped today's Mallard and left it to the rest of us to clean up the mess.

Aw, Davey, you missed it. In the second panel, the duck put his script down, looked humbly at the floor and said "I've decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."*

*Martin Luther King Jr.

Then Tinsley apologized to everybody and said to read Doonesbury.

(I'm just messin'. Same old crap, of course.)

Bits like this explain why he drinks so much. It takes a lot of effort to stay just outside of reality. He must need the help.

How to circulate pure bull-crap through a Klein bottle. Frame one: Establish a falsehood as fact and embellish said outright lie with extremist terminology. Frame two: Connect punch-line to prior frame's falsehood. Result: Watch flow of effluent cycle in a worthless infinite loop.

WV: "scorm" Rightwinger point scoring term used when large snowstorm hits, giving said creationist cretins cause to rejoice in jocularity at Al Gore's Global Warming "myth".

So now we've moved on to MSNBC-bashing? Honestly I tried to watch a few minutes of O'Reilly last night. I threw up in my mouth a little when Bill-O said Tiger Woods statement about Buddhism was in responser to Brit Hume's Christianity comments. Really? Tiger is worried about Brit Hume? If FoxNews is so popular and powerful why does O'Reilly constantly feel the need to artificially inflate its importance? And if MSNBC's ratings are so bad won't the free market that Tinsley worships take care of it? Either all that or Tinz is just being intellectually dishonest as usual.

Oh, one more thing, MSNBC is the network that lets Joe Scarborough act like a complete douchebag for three straight hours so let's not act like MSNBC is the total liberal network just because they have three liberal hosts (I don't count Tweety because I can honestly not figure out what the hell he is).

wv:slocog: The word that perfectly describes Bruce Tinsley's mental acuity.

Matthews & Olbermann showing why MSNBC's ratings are in the toilet.

Chris Matthews actually said after the State of the Union speech, that he "forgot Obama was black for an hour." Imagine the liberals & state run media outrage if Rush Limbaugh would have said that.

When a black man doesn't play sports or eat fried chicken for an hour this kind of thinking is bound to take root among the progressive lily white left. Clearly Obama didn't use any negro slang in his speech, or Matthews' leg thrill might have subsided for a moment.

Keith Olbermann, the lefty, angry talking head at MSNBC lost it on the air when he unloaded on Massachusetts Senate candidate Scott Brown. I heard from a very credible source that Keith donned his mother's housecoat, undergarments and fuzzy slippers prior to writing his comments about Brown.

Olbermann seems to be reflecting the feelings of many people on the left. It is no longer enough to simply disagree with someone. These days some feel the need to call their opponents evil. Olbermann is definitely near the top of that category. The man-child does need medication.

Nick, apparently you've never seen the signs at a teabagger rally if you really think Olbermann calling out the other side is bad (BTW, Olbermann apologized on-air for his diatribe). As for Matthews, he was trying to pay the president a compliment and it just came out wrong and ham-handed. Your stereotyping everyone on the left as angry sounds like projection to me (also your lamenting the left's lack of partisanship is really humorous in light of the senate republican obstructionism and hypocrisy). Also, what "state run media" are you talking about? Are you regurgitating Hannity talking points or are you just stupid (or both)?

//MSNBC's rating are not in the toilet, they have to compete with CNN, CNBC, and all the other channels for sane and intelligent viewers that don't like to be lied to. FOXNEWS gets 100% of the frothing at the mouth teabaggers.

"...It is no longer enough to simply disagree with someone. These days some feel the need to call their opponents evil."

That was Newt Gingrich talking, from back when anyone cared what he said.

He pioneered the whole movement of the GOP away from reactionary, but rational, discourse into the tactic of calling your opponents mentally ill, sick, unpatriotic and so forth.

As a result, I can't say I take very seriously the reichwing's whining about Olberman or, for that matter, the use of the term "reichwing". Obama keeps trying to play nice and the reichwing keeps calling him a communist.

Take a break, DaveyK. You deserve it.

Steve-O-

I thought "state-run media" was one of Lardbutt's stock phrases. "Man-child" definitely is, which is pretty funny coming from an alleged pedophile who cannot make a marriage work.

Anyway, I'm guessing our resident troll got so tired of being called "Anonyrast" that's he's willing to be saddled with "Nick the Dick" for a while.

Steve-O said...

CW,

Yes in Nick-the-Dick's feeble pea-brain,
Olbermann=in desparate need of medication.
Glenn Beck=perfectly reasonable and sane.

I probably shouldn't stoop to taking the bait on this particular dimwitted attempt at trolling but I just can't help myself.

I also thought "man-child" was a strange choice of words. That's the best insult our idiotic troll could come up with? Really? Anyone who reads a "comic" like Mallard Fillmore to learn insults has way more problems than we can probably diagnose today.

This liberal doesn't watch Olbermann because he is very angry all the time.

But speaking of anger:

Which party is willing to leave and take personal responsibility when they don't agree with their surroundings?
Which party wants everyone else to leave who doesn't agree with them or serve a purpose for them?

Which party throws pastries?
Which party brings guns to debates or implies that they would?

No human being is never angry. Their maturity however is determined by how they handle it.
