Those damned Crowds

What's Mallard raving about today?

Teabaggers, Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reid.

Oh, really?

Like this guy? ("Vanderboegh said he once worked as a warehouse manager but now lives on government disability checks.")

Or this guy? ("When Tom Grimes lost his job as a financial consultant 15 months ago, he called his congressman, a Democrat, for help getting government health care.")

Also, the Teabaggers don't even understand the Tax Policy they are moaning about. Case in point...a certain waterfowl who thinks that if you don't owe additional tax in April it means you pay no taxes.

Tea baggers, hippies, and delusions of grandeur.

Hat trick?

The joke is that Tinsley assumes that the tiresome, repetitious task he performs constitutes "a job."

"You" didn't have jobs? Pelosi was an unemployed hippie? Really? She's cooler than I thought. Well done, Batshit Bruce.

The US would be so much better if only the people who voted for the winners of any given election had to pay taxes instead of this social contract thing where everyone pays taxes and representation is voted on democratically at regular intervals.

Statistically, it's impossible for all the liberals to be jobless. Or even most. Liberals tend to be the higher earning portion of the left-end of the political spectrum, and dominate the graduate level education which is the most likely to end up in a higher paying job in the private sector.

The layout of the speech bubbles in this comic is confusing. Which way do I go? Up-down? Left-right? Clockwise? Counter-clockwise? All over the friggin place?

In other news, since Brucie forgot to tell either a new joke or an old joke today ... Sarah Palin's coming to Boston to you-betcha-also for the cameras on the day before tax day!

Of course, in typical Palin fashion, this is already kind of a bonk-whoop-thud kind of screwup, as the tax deadline in Boston is delayed until May 11 this year because a lot of people got hit by severe flooding in March. So, really, she's here for the day before, um, Thursday.

I wonder if she should just hire her own trombonist to follow her around and blow a sad wah-waaaaah whenever she speaks. It'd be more efficient.

As long as we're dividing people into two groups, then, is it safe to assume that in the late sixties Tinz -- not being a dirty fucking hippie -- must have been ROTC, or in the Ohio Army National Guard?

Oh, sorry. In 1970, Tinz was 12 years old. And he didn't have a job.

I think Tinsley really achieved new levels of dickishness here.

Really? All these years I've been paying taxes (despite being a liberal, I have a job), and it was optional? I could've just said "Nah," and that would've been cool with the IRS, with no legal repercussions? Oh, Tinny, thank you for prying the scales off my eyes!

But Bruce, who'll pay for your beloved wars, torture and surveillance state? Is there like a yearly Neocon bake sale for that?

WV: bot-ra, the villain in the upcoming Transformers vs Thundercats live action movie. "He's a robot truck, she's a cheetah-girl, together--they fight taxes!"

Nancy Pelosi took her dean hostage? That's news to me.

I especially liked the 2nd article DaveyK points to:

"Ms. Reimer saw a story about the Tea Party on television. “I said, ‘That’s it,’ ” she recalled. “How can you get this frustration out, have your voices heard?”

She liked that the Tea Party was patriotic, too. “They said the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the national anthem,” she said.

...
“I guess I just found my calling,” she said.

Ms. Reimer, now a national coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots, also found a community."

This is not a political movement; it's a social event. Lonely people want community, even if it's a community of hate.

Our task is to give them a community, minus the hate.

I'm sure most people know that the "under God" part wasn't added until the 1950s McCarthy purges. But do the TPers know that the pledge was written by a Socialist, and originally the flag was saluted with today we would call a "Heil Hitler"?

I'm just saying that these people have no sense or even a basic comprehension of the history they distort.

Also, the Founding Fathers weren't fundie Christians, they were Deists. If "America was founded as a Christian Nation," why was it founded by the people who invented "separation of Church and State"? Wouldn't they have just founded a theocracy instead?

Tog, I think you've just given "Party of No" a whole new meaning. Kudos.

Rewinn wrote, referring to the Tea Party gatherings: "This is not a political movement; it's a social event. Lonely people want community, even if it's a community of hate." "Our task is to give them a community, minus the hate."

Oh yes! Like the hatred spewed on a daily basis from the lonely liberals of the D&C blog community.
For dropping a news article on this blog I was told by two regulars that they wish I would die a very painful death and that they want me to die in a fire.

Just today...a rather slow day, the brilliant Tog refers to BT as "Batshit Bruce." quite a vocabulary he has. Dlauthor rails against Sarah Palin which has nothing to do with the cartoon. Just had to bitch about something so she hit on Palin.

Exanonymous actually said Liberals tend to be the higher earning portion of the left-end of the political spectrum, and dominate the graduate level education." Which I guess is what makes up the group at D&C? This is a group of lonely losers. Most of which are part of the 47% of the folks who pay no Federal income tax.

Why would the same people spend their time posting their hate filled comments about a cartoon strip day after day...losers! The only answer.

Let's see if this comment adds a few more hits to today's D&C blog. This may even bring CW from LA out of her stupor and open her foul mouth.

...And along scuttles Li'l Nicky to display his awesome NO U! talents.

If we offend you so, Li'l Nicky, why do you keep coming back?

Rhetorical question: we're all aware that "family values" teabaggers are all closet masochists who enjoy abuse and wear their lash marks "like badges of honor" (although they'd never, ever serve in a position that would earn a genuine badge of honor, natch).

...That, and Li'l Nicky's the textbook definition of "troll." I don't mind. I find the whiny little simpleton amusing. (Just don't let Mommy find out what you're doing on the computer, 'kay?)

Two things about that. First, it was a news article about Dick Morris' opinion. Anything involving that man is about as far from objective news as you can possibly get. Second, I checked every last comment on the post in question, and nobody said anything remotely close to that. Oh, and thanks for the hits, since that'll help get the word out that MF is a terrible comic.

You were, however, told to f**k off, which I can honestly sympathize with, seeing how you're a simpleton and a liar.

Wow, the troll is casting out all his lines today. I really wonder if Nick = Bruce Tinsley...

"Fools! I spent four hours -- and 750mL of research -- trying to draw the Capitol. What do you mean it looks like Austin Powers' teeth?! Time to tell these ponytailed Jew-nosed liberals a thing or two!"

By the way, I found a portrait of Mallard Fillmore!

Interesting. We finally have a name to go with our storied Anonymous poster. Wayyyyy too many similarities to our favorite child molester's style, from the poor-helpless-me attitude to the you-all-have-no-lives-for-posting-here-no-don't-ask-me-why-I'm-here thing, to the bizarre reference to me as "she" (to what end? Is Nick so terrified of grown women that he's projecting a female persona onto me?).

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Nickyrast, who apparently clicked the wrong radio button when making today's post. Now just give us a last name, Nickster, and cross-referencing you in the sex offenders registry should be a snap.

Oh, and nobody innocently just posts a link to a news article. You're a troll, and a bad one at that, considering how much you've let the very people you're trying to troll get under your skin. But hey, stick around, because the more time you're here, the less attention you're paying to whatever playground your van's parked next to!

For the record, I expressed my wish that Nick the Melonfucker die a swift yet painful death after he posted his cutesy-poo little racist watermelon jokes. I stand by that wish.

PS to Melonfucker - Fuck your shoddily-wiped ass with a glass-encrusted two-by-four, you rhino-felching bucket of pustulent maggot shit - Is that what you meant by "foul mouth"?

Yeah, Nickykins is clearly the same as anonydimwit. Every time the little cretin comes here, it gets its ass handed to it. And yet, it keeps coming back. Why is this? Are we to assume that this site is how it gets its kicks when all the kids in the area have already read The Berenstain Bears Learn about Strangers?

Tog, the service Tin provides to teabaggers, fundies, racists, and other manifestations of the Party of Fear is something he gets paid for, and it is indeed a job. Technically, it's a "blow" job.

Bruce, Bruce, Bruce.

Left to right, THEN top to bottom. That is how English text has been oriented going back to its Latin and Greek roots. You're not influential enough to change that now.

Also, since Madame Speaker just celebrated her 70th birthday, simple arithmetic would bear out the fact that her college days were primarily in the late 1950's and pre-Beatles 1960's -- you know, Real America's Glory Days. How many Deans were "taken hostage" at Trinity College back then?

And ... to repeat my point since anonydrinker Nicky did not actually address it ...

... the bulk of the Tea Party rank-and-misfiled (...as opposed to their corporate sponsors...) are just lonely. We The Sober can reach out to them in person, have conversations, drain some of the intellectual pus and maybe get something done.

If people come onto this blog and complain because they get mocked, maybe the solution is not to do mockworthy stuff. Try posting something reasonable and see that you get a reasonable response.

And sack up a little. Mockery won't kill ya.
