Those Damned Revolters

What's mallard raving about today?

Tebaggers, Speaker Pelosi, Senator Reid.

Missing, of course, are the teabaggers spitting on Black congressmen and hurling racial epithets at them. Plus, of course, homophobic epithets at Barney Frank.

Well, that would require drawing humans, which is increasingly outside of Tinsley's skill set.

Say, haven't we already seen this bit? I could've sworn Tinsley used to claim recycling was a huge scam. Of course, the whole "the commoners are revolting" set-up itself is older than dirt. I guess IOKIYBT.

Also: here, have some masterpiece.

The kids have your number, Bruce. You and your kind are on the way out. Put THAT in one of your dinosaur/caveman strips, incompetent.

Dear lord, how old is this joke?

When "The Wizard of ID" beats you to a punch-line --never mind that it's by several decades-- it's time to think about hanging up the ol' pen.

(Sigh... it's strips like this that make you wonder: Just what does Tinsley have on some editor at King Features that allow him to get away with schlock like this?)

Hey, tinny stole that joke from Chicken Run.

Maybe you wonder that, NLC. I just assume he knows he can get all afwmd about the State-Run Drive-By Liberal Media Conspiracy suppressing him on anything that's not actually legally actionable.

Yeah, ancient joke. What's also great is that one presumes those signs are meant to do something other than confirm that the teabaggers are self-centered dimwits with no sense of any kind of social contract. And yet...

He's way behind the times. See the letters on the signs? The kerning? They were all produced by the same hand. It's been months since the TTT had to take signs provided by Fox News. Now they all make their own, which are more distinctively tetched and hateful than the corporate versions.

To borrow a name from the Saturday morning cartoons of my youth, they're wacky racists (and it's my belief that the word "wacky" comes from the notion that someone's gone soft-headed due to excessive masturbation).

That's a great cartoon, Tog. I like the ones preceding it as well.

I happened to be in Washington last weekend, and ended up in the middle of that Tea Party protest at the Capitol depicted in this cartoon. For brevity's sake, I'll just say that if those protesters really were "common", I'd already be living in another country; regardless, at no point did I see a protester holding up a "mallardmail@gmail.com" sign.

Speaking on a purely personal level, my taxes are lower this year, and as a direct result of President Obama's policies. From what I hear, this is true of a lot of people. So why do the Tinsh and the rest of these freaks keep pretending otherwise?

I'm asking rhetorically, of course; I believe I know the answer. But if I'm missing something I'd love to hear it.

Because, as we all know, every American on the planet is against this health care reform.

We put up with 8 years of Bush; these hapless fuckers can't make it a year with Obama before pulling out the "it's revolution time" bag. Simpleminded pricks.

C'mon, Davey, don't you know that none of that actually happened. I read that on several of the wingnut sites, including one that insisted it didn't happen even after a commenter noted that the DC police had been called in to at least one of these situations.

And, in a bit of unintentional self-revelation, I note that the sign at the bottom center reads "Stop Spending Now!" So, the teabaggers want to stop spending any money at all? Yeah, I can believe that -- although I'm guessing they would scream bloody murder if we stopped bombing furriners and/or the government got out of their Medicare.

The TTT is already in the next stage of denial. We've had "Nobody saw us do it! Nobody taped it! Ergo, it never happened!"

Now we're up to "That's a lousy video! They could be calling him 'vigor' or 'bigger' or 'jigger'!" and "Well, he was just yelling and he couldn't help it. You know how it is with S and T -- the way those letters are formed makes the foam around your mouth go flying. So when you yell 'KILL the BILL!' you just can't help spitting on some uppity boy!"

That's because from the very beginning not a one of them was willing to give Obama the slightest of chances. The Republican platform has been to obstruct government like a child throwing a tantrum at every opportunity and then scream to voters that the Democratic government isn't accomplishing anything.

Well, that and attempt to work people up to a fervor with misinformation when the Democrats DO manage to get something done. This is because the Republican party doesn't care about the American people, but only about their own power. Sadly their tactics appear to be working to some degree.
